What is a vision board, you ask? A vision board is a tool that is fun and enjoyable to create, yet empowering when put into use. focus in envisioning your goals.

About two months ago a friend of mine told me I should create one. It’s where you paste pictures or write words of goals you wish to accomplish. Its a pretty neat idea for those who cringe at the idea of sitting down and developing a detailed plan of your future.

Vision boards are an excellent way of communicating your desires to the universe. A lot of groups often include vision boards as part of their activities. When you make your own vision board, you’ll find yourself learning a lot about yourself as well.

There are times when you don’t exactly know why you are drawn to the picture of a house and then two months later, you realize that you’re living in it! Indeed, vision boards can be quite powerful. If you want to know how to make your own vision board, read on!

Step 1: Focus on what you want.

First of all, you have to be clear about what you’re creating your vision board for. Do you want something specific like a new house or a new car? Or do you want to improve your career in general?

By focusing on your intent, you will be able to send out a better message to yourself and the universe as well.

Step 2: Get your materials ready to make your own vision board.

You will need to have a poster board and many magazines. You can choose your magazines depending on what you want to focus on. You’ll also need glue to paste your pictures on the board.

Step 3: Cut out the pictures that call at you.

To make your own vision board, start cutting out pictures from the magazines. You don’t have to justify everything on the spot. You can also cut out words that seem to jump at you from the page.  

These pictures (or words) are meant to represent your desires, so there really is no wrong or right choice.

Step 4: Gather them all together for your vision board.

After cutting out the pictures, gather them all together. This is the time when you start editing. You’ll need to ask yourself which pictures fit your intention and which ones don’t.

Step 5: Make your own vision board.

Now that you have sorted through your pictures, glue them to your board. There is no one way of arranging them. It all depends on what you think is right.

For example, you could arrange them all according to category or create a story out of them. Personally, I don’t have a set pattern. I paste them one at a time, just following my intuition.

You don’t have to be a visionary to make your own vision board. That happens after the project is done. Anyone, even kids themselves, will have a lot of fun doing this activity. Vision boards help make you conscious of your desires; and in turn, make you even more determined to fulfill them.

The traditional vision board is a sheet of poster board on which pictures or drawings are pasted. The pictures usually come from magazines or books, and can be arranged like a collage, perhaps with hand-written affirmations or inspirational quotes.

The paper or poster vision board is kept in a location where it’s likely to be seen often. This could be a bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator, or in your car. The board is meant to be a constant reminder about what is most important to you, so those dreams and goals stay at the top of your mind. This frequency helps you concentrate on what you want, instead of getting sidetracked with any self-defeating or negative thoughts.

Modern electronic vision boards are now available that can be used alone or in conjunction with traditional paper boards. Electronic boards can take the form of software, in which the user creates a digital product and views it on their computer. Or they can be a pre-designed or customized digital video that the user watches on their computer, television, or handheld device.

Electronic versions can greatly enhance the experience of using a vision board. Some versions may include a soundtrack as well. Electronic vision boards may be in the format of a video, slide show, or even like the traditional collage. If you are good on the computer, you can probably create one yourself using existing software. How exactly do they work? Has anyone had any experiences with them, positive or negative? I’ve heard so much abou the benefits of thinking positively and I want to try it out but I need more information first. Thanks in advance!

A vision board helps you to bring focus into what you are trying to manifest. But I don’t think just creating a vision board is enough. You have to keep that vision board where you can see it everyday. Most importantly you have to believe whatever is on your vision board is already in your possession. Take a few moments each day to look at the different pictures, or tokens on your vision board and pretend you already have it.

Besides vision boards I think having a few affirmations to recite everyday works well too. You just have to find out where your creative comfort zone is. So if you are a more ‘visual’ type person, a vision board will work well.

Vision Boards are life-changing and powerful tools.  Sometimes also referred to as dream boards or vision maps, these are simple visual representation of things you want to have, be or do in your life.  It consists of a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and/or writing on it.  And with the advances of today’s technology, these too are now available online.  The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction and to start attracting things from your environment enabling the realization of your dreams.  Even in the process of preparing your board, it is believed that positive charges from your emotions would already start the manifestation of these desires in your life.

Like any task at hand, making vision boards and making it work takes a step by step process:

·        Conceptualize – Conceptualizing your board is as simple as making a self-examination of what you want to have or what you want to happen in your life.  Of course, this may also be limited depending on your creativity and the depth of your desires. 

·        Prepare- Secure materials needed for your preparation.  This would entail time and effort but if it would be for the manifestation of your dreams, all efforts are never futile. 

·        Create – This is the fun part, the creation or assembly of your board.  Let your creativity and ingenuity show! 

Essentials of a well-designed vision board

·        Visually stimulating – It is true that our subconscious minds work best through pictures and images so in order to stimulate and motivate yourself, create your vision boards as visual as possible with words or phrases supplementing your pictures to give it a touch of emotionality.

·        Significantly dramatic – The sight of your vision board should serve as a fuel or drive to your accomplishment of dreams therefore it must be personal and has significance on your life.

·        Tactical Location – It is important to always see your board so that you are often reminded of what you are aiming for.  Choose a good strategic location.

·        Positively distinctive – Disregard all negativity and self-doubt as this would reflect your personal weaknesses.

Realizing Life through The Secret Vision Board

How would you look at life if you have the secret vision board, where all your thoughts become a reality right in front of you?  All of your life’s longings and wanting may be conceived and made true because of the secret.  Based on the principles of the law of attraction, you attract all that you perceive, whether it be bad or good.  What you have in life is but a product of what you think.

Life is complicated

Teaching ourselves how to use wisely the secret that is in the law of attraction is very challenging and requires practice to perfect it.  Use it to your advantage in order for you to reach your goals.  Use it to create your future.  Practice and hone it with the following basic steps: be very precise about what you want; visualize your goal; and allow yourself to receive.  When you put positive energy into your dreams, you are sending positive vibrations to the Universe and so the Universe always responds.
