Intertech Announces Visual Studio Unit Testing Course

Intertechs Unit Testing course is designed for professionals using Visual Studio for .NET unit tests. The two-day course is focused on Test Driven Development in the Visual Studio (VSTS) environment.

The course is focused on software professionals who architect, design, develop, and test .NET applications. The course is a blend of lecture and lab and focuses on creating .NET unit tests in Test Driven Development.
In the course students learn the fundamentals of unit tests including basic unit tests, standard unit tests, assertions, how to leverage class inheritance, how to test private methods. For the Visual Studio tool, the course covers projects, windows, and auxiliary tools.
From a management perspective, the course addresses calculating code coverage, test impact analysis, and how to leverage Team Foundation Servers support for testing.
The course covers Test Driven Development or TDD. For TDD, the course defines how Visual Studio can be leveraged to support TDD, how to refactor in VSTS when doing TDD, and additional topics like refactoring legacy code.
The course concludes with coverage of 3rd party tools including Rhino Mocks as well as Microsofts Pex and Moles.
